Ripping DVDs

Ripping DVDs

Postby Moose or Chuck » Jul 10, 2001 @ 11:31am

First, thanks for the great DVD ripping guide.  I've used it to rip a couple already.  My problem is I want to be able to copy it onto a single disk.  My file size is 1.5-2gig.  What settings do I use to shrink it down?  I've seen some that are about 200mg.  Thanks in advance.

Well, I would kind of like to do both.  Since I don't have a reader yet and I can't transfer one of the movies to my pocket pc.  I'm definitely going to order a reader I saw one for $20 at  Anyone have any ideas on readers or are they pretty much the same?

I have a Dane-Elec reader.  Works fine in Win2k and Win9x.  They currently don't have Linux drivers.  And it's USB.Last modification: RavenRay - 07/11/01 at 14:02:02
