It's my understanding that the polymer battery used in the a600 was a much better product, life cycle wise. I guess that like the aluminum casing, it had to go so the end product would be competitive in today's market.

I don't see how hard it will be to locate a replacement and change the battery yourself. You will probably be out of warranty by them anyway :wink:
