Well more functionality can never be a bad thing, though practically speaking you're constrained by both battery life and storage space. I suppose it could be used for stealth downloading; assuming a modest 30kB/s that's about 200MB downloaded over about 2 hours, which is a reasonable operational time for a wireless device (screen turned off I guess).
