GF Doom and Quake

GF Doom and Quake

Postby MadDogX007 » Apr 2, 2006 @ 6:04pm

Well I got gfdoom and it works nicely, not better looking than doom ce, but definately better to use and feel with stylis like mouse control. Iwas hoping for a full view option of game without that little mouse key area, cause the MDA front keys seem to navigate nicely in this game. Better control than stylis which is nice to have. Any ideas? Also how do you get to the terminal to enter codes?

On another note. Pocket Quake Beta v0.062 works niceley (ok) with demo version, but much slower than gfdoom or Doom CE for sure on Pocket MDA with only 200MHZ CPU. Quake sound is great though, especially with the built in dual stereo speakers of the MDA! I try to load my registered quake2 pak file into the ID1 folder, but keeps telling me "You must have the registered version to use modified games"? Does this not support Quake II?

Thanks in advance to anyone who answers.

On a slower device like that Quake I is not going to be that fast. Quake II is a different game, and uses a different engine, thus you need the PQ II port. I wouldn't waste your time though, as it'll be roughly half/75% slower than PQ1
holy internets batman.

Too bad you don't have an Axim, or you could be playing Quake 3 ;).
