lets think, your ipaq, button problems, or my casio works perfectly at 200 mhz. and how is it working hard, i opened it and colored in a line on my board, it took 15 minutes. It takes me that long to turn on the computer, get on the internet download jimmys crappy software and install it.

Hey! I dont have many button problems. Actually, I noticed that I can shoot and strafe at the same time with the hardware buttons. (!) Is it only me or what?

Diego-
Nope, it's not just you, the Action button can and will work in tandem with any directional button at the same time. This is why Dan and I consider the iPAQ to be the ideal PQ machine.

If you enjoy classic games, you can also take advantage of that dpad property with 1 button games like Donkey Kong or Galaga. I play both on iMAME @ fullspeed :) (sound has a leak, so disable it).

Chuck- its sad that it takes you 15 minutes to download a 100k file from jimmy. Also, please remember, MHz are different on each device, no matter what number you *think* you might be clocked to. Example, a iMACdv running at 400Mhz, is comparable to a PIII800Mhz machine. Anyone in the know with will concur with that statement, and it's safe to say, the same logic applies to PPC. A 200Mhz Crappio is not the same as a 200Mhz iPAQ. So who's got the faster Mhz? Well consider this, I never OC when playing PQ, and my highest timerefresh has been 30fps.

Thanks for the reply 999. I thought I was getting crazy... :)
And yes, I take advantage of it in many ways. For example, I configured the action button for better performance in PocketNES, so now SuperMario is completely playable on my iPAQ. (jump and run at the same time)

Yeah, mHz can only be compared to processors in the same class. Like 999 said, a 400 mHz iMac is about as fast as a PIII 800.

Even if the Crappio is overclocked to 200 mHz, the iCraps floatingpoint is far superior and will win every time.

And my AMD 1.3GHz is as faster than a Pentium4 1.7GHz and 3 times the price.

AMDs tend to be maxed out which is why they run so hot- dunno about the Athlon, I'm still running an AMD on socket7. Pentiums run much cooler, and have plenty of room to overclock.

The Pentium 4 has a slightly different architecture than the Pentium III, And a few benchmarks I have seen the PIII actually performed BETTER.

Pentiums are damn expensive though.

Yea, amd's run real hot, thats why they are so cheap, you have to water cool a amd just to go up like 200 mhz. :/ stupid cheap bastards.

The Athlon's (socket A, not the older Slot A)overclock much more nicely than the older socket 7s, and much better than the new Durons as well.
