The Rundown---

Hey all I have had a problem and was wondering if someone on this forum could assist me with it.
As stated above I have a Compaq iPAQ 3835 with no non PPC2002 apps. Only things I have installed is Snails 1.6 (regged of course), Shanghai /exp pack,
and Pocket Divx 0.8. I do synch at work and use the outlook and notes function quite heavily.

The problem---

Ok now for the issue I am having, I have a SanDisk 64meg MMC card and I use it to store my eBooks (some recommened on another thread in the forum) and of course the cool Divx Movie Trailers (love to see look of amazing wonder from some co-workers), and last and not least some of my favorite MP3's. Well the WMP both the version that came on my iPAQ and the new biuld from MS, both will randomly skip from the middle of one song to the next song in the play list. It will also skip if I dont use the play list from the middle or last minute of the song to the end of the song and quit playing. I have also tried the check to play large and unregisterd file sizes but it still happens, if I do a soft reset I can normally get past 3 songs before it starts doing the skip feature (undocumented feature from MS is also an unwanted feature). My question is, has anyone seen this problem yet and if so have they found a fix for it?? I am very happy with this PDA, which is a very awesome piece of hardware and the possibilities are boundless. BUT!!! this problem is very annoying to me and has caused me some great displeasure.

Thanks for your time and help in this!!

I think there is a new media player patch that might solve this problem. It's only a week old. Have a look at

Another way to solve this problem is to convert your MP3s to WMA files. See for a free converter.
Crosswind technique: "Using your peripheral vision, react to body movements, gasps, groans, and shouts from the other side of the cockpit, and always remember that it's better to be lucky than good."
