it's easier if you are using ppc2k2.
In a nut shell - for ppc2k2:
You will need to be connected to the desktop pc using Active Sync.
Then modify your connections settings
(Start Menu > Settings > Connections tab > Connections). I have a lot of hit or miss on this stuff. I would say that your best bet is to create new setings for both Internet connection and Work connection. Make sure that under the work connection you set check "This network connects to the internet".
I think that is all, but it has always been hit or miss for me. play around with it for a bit and you might find a working solution.
Hopefully someone else will come along and correct my errors.
