I'll soon be looking to expand my PPC from simply being my organizational tool to being more media-oriented. In doing so, I'll be adding tons of MP3's, videos, etc . . . and I'll need extra storage to do so.
CompactFlash is just not enough memory . . . so I'm looking at a solid-based storage solution.
I'm just starting to look around, and some of my options are:
1GB IBM Microdrive for the CF slot. Very nice and small . . . but pricey for only 1GB of storage.
2GB or 5GB PCMCIA hard drives, along with a sleeve with built-in battery. Expensive to start, but probably a good expansion option for the future.
Does anyone have any advice to offer here? What are good choices? What are bad? And also quite importantly, other than eBay, where are good cheap places to get this stuff? I'm happy to pay a little more to have peace of mind and someone to turn to should it fail.
