What kind of options do I have to connect with ethernet or usb to the internet with my EM-500? I only have an mmc slot, not a CF slot. I have seen usb to ethernet adapters, but they would need there own power sluplies to work because they wouldn't be able to pull power from the ethernet or my ppc since my ppc goes from serial to usb.

Any ideas on how to connect my EM-500 to the internet?

Also, if anyone has any ideas on how to edit the registry to tell the pocket pc that there is a modem connected to the usb port, then any suggestions will be appreciated.
thanks

Play around with the RASBook settings in the registry.. forget where it is, but it shouldn't be too hidden.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Comm\RasBook

Just very basically follow this guide: But change what is necessary to make it work on your device. Oh, and forget the AnalogX proxie junk and all that garbage about doing stuff to the computer. That guide is to allow a PocketPC to connect to a computers internet connection while it's in the cradle. You should just have to worry about the PocketPC steps, except configuring the proxie on the PocketPC, leave those unchecked.

I appreciate all the help so far. Thank you for the replies. I have been able to connect to the internet through my PC with the analogx thing before, so i know that works. But i tried doing the same steps to connect to my cable modem and they still dont seem to work.

I am not sure if i should edit the new connection such as the TCP/IP settings or use a specific server address instead of a server assigned one.

But anyway, still haven't gotten it to work. Has anyone else been able to connect to the internet without there PC not using a CF slot?

Well the tutorial I posted above is for connecting through the PC. But you said you already tried that, so... Sorry, I don't think there is another way.
