Use USB on pocket pc

Use USB on pocket pc

Postby santacruz395 » Aug 29, 2002 @ 5:36am

I have found a way to use usb on a pocket pc device. The way is to take one of the docink wires without the cradle, they make the same thing for the Casio devices, and I saw them for the E310 on Ebay, but anyway, the way is take that wire a female to female USB adapter, and then plug in the gamepad, HD, keyboard......W/E :D I need help, Trying to get some good developers to help. Thanx

I'm not sure if i undrstand u right and i'm a toatl newbie so i'm probably totally wrong  But i think the ppc is a slave when its connected to a pc, and if u connected it to other peripharels, u would need it to be the host, and it think this capability would needed to be built into the OS. Also, u would need drivers to be made for the ppc, and some things are powered from the USB bus, and i don't think a ppc has enough power for this.

Said most of everything I was going to say. That's why the USB Host is being advertised - it's more than just an adapter.

Er... yes? The broadband adapter is quite hard to find though.. but they're (as in some japanese company I believe) are considering one more run of them, if they get enough preorders.

That method won't work with newer Dreamcasts, the modem needs the power of a live phone line, like here.
