Ambicom CF not working

Ambicom CF not working

Postby Dihnekis » Mar 7, 2003 @ 5:45am

I can't connect with my ambicom CF card. I installed the software, did everything, and then tried to connect. The light stops blinking, signaling that i am in the range of the AP. I cant connect to anything though. I tried AIM, and I tried PIE, but nothing would connect. I have heard (from ironchef) that it wont connect because i was outside. i was outside of my friends house, about 100ft away. Any solutions? Also, i have my network connections set so my card connects through work, and when i try to change it to internet it wont work, it just goes back after i press ok.

Check your card's config tool, see if it's getting an IP from the DHCP server (if your router even HAS a DHCP server)

If it does, then first try pinging a local IP (ie whatever PC is connected to your router) and if that works, try pinging a site like yahoo.com

Try pinging someone on the local network and seeing if that works.
