Let me clear this up. Intel is going to release a new 412MHz processor that will be used in the Compaq iPaq and several other Pocket PC devices, it is the same StrongARM processor only it has a higher clock speed. Merlin is the code name of the new version of Pocket PC that only the Compaq iPaq will be able to upgrade to because of its use of FlashROM

. All new Pocket PC devices will use this O/S. Another note, Palm has ditched the use of Motorola's Dragonball processor and has joined the band wagon and their next PDA will use the same processors seen in Pocket PC devices. Final note, the Intel StrongARM processor (used in Pocket PC devices) is going to be running at speeds of 1GHz within a couple years
