I have not used this device but similar ones and they seem to work fine. One thing you watch out for is you must set it to an unused station lest you want to get in trouble with the police. :) Oh and despite the fact that it does not mention them will work with the Jornada 56x series, the e740 and pretty much anything else with an audio jack. You might want to check at your local electronic store to see if they have it a bit cheaper though.

why would the police care? they dont transmit on FM, or any regular radio frequency for that matter. local police dont sit around monitoring radio stations.

Its against FCC rules. The "this device may make no interferance" yadda yadda yadda. Making your sound go onto someone elses stereo instead of their desired music is illegal.

Moose, do you feel some NEED to hijack every thread with negative comments that don't pertain to the original question? Cut the crap.

Once again . . . has anyone actually had some experience with these? Are they worth it?

EDIT: And how does the quality compare?

I was looking around and the $22 appears to be the cheapest for the soundfeeder. The mount thing on the website I linked to was a big expensive, but I haven't found any alternatives that combine a mount and FM transmitter . . .

But does anyone know of any plain car mounts that work well?

I purchased that unit a while back and had to return it. The reception was horrible from only a few feet away. Save your money or get a deck with aux in.

Which unit, the mounting unit or the stand-alone one?
