OK, so I accidentally broke my Jornada by hitting it with an eraser. So I kinda feel like getting a new PPC...

Anyway, does the J56x work with the J52/54x Stowaway? It looks like it's a fairly good PPC despite its age, and I wouldn't want to waste the $70 i spent on my Stowaway.

In addition, anyone know whether the Viewsonic or Dell will have a CF slot?

The Dell one will have a CF and SD slot. The Viewsonic only has SD.

Your other question....I do not know. Probably not is my guess. The form factor is a little different

Do you know if all the Dell ones will have a CF slot, or only the $300 one?

The only difference between Dell and Viewsonic PPC's is that Dell has CF and the option of 400MHz.

But once someone figures out how to overclock the Xscale that won't matter at all.

And another question... anyone know how much slower the 300 MHz XScale will be compared to the StrongArm? Will it be about 3/4 the speed, or by some miracle faster?

I don't think we'll see any slowdown at all, or very little. The problem with the XScale isn't the frequency of the CPU, it's the bus speed, the speed of the memory.

So, according to me, 300MHz XScale will run nearly as fast as 400MHz... and watch me be right! :D

The e310 is faster than the e330, and therefore faster than the Viewsonic.

300MHz Xscales are about 15-20% slower than 400MHz Xscales which in turn are the same speed or slower (in most cases) than the SA206.
