Thanks for the tip Jello. Unfortunately I had already taken that route without success. When I press the "talk" button, instead of the audio coming out of the speaker on the A716, the device goes completely silent. Nothing from either the speaker or the headset. If you open the volume window in the task tray, it's at zero, and it can't be raised. Nor can I get anything by using the volume button on the headset. Indeed, after I press the "talk" button the volume window refuses to close until I shut off the bluetooth radio on the A716.
