If you put two spaces in front of a D it will do it. The "No Smilies" thing doesn't seem to do anything for me. I have it checked for this message.
:)
D
D D D D

Dan East
Dan East

Actually there's two spaces before my name, it's just that the second space and the D were translated into the smiley.

D 0
D 1
D 2
D 3
D 4

Dan East

Re: FAQ problem...

Postby SonicSilicon » Apr 12, 2001 @ 10:45am

The reason the ASCII art is going wonky is because the standard font on the board is variable width. ASCII art needs a fixed width font like the one used in the reply boxes. And there's an insanely simple fix:
Just put the art between [ pre ] [ /pre ] tags. (Minus the spaces between the square brackets.)
Like this:
[pre]+----+

(:

+----+[/pre]Anyway, any other suggestions for fixing the FAQ?Last modification: SonicSilicon - 04/12/01 at 07:45:46
