when it comes to activesync it could be alot of things causing the problem. I usually just reinstall the drviers and activsync if the problem persist.

I'll try it again later on. Luckily I still have everything from the MMC card. Even if I did do a backup/restore, would it recover the Mobile Calendar stuff? When I sync the PPC, it never said anything about it, only files, and I have all the files backed up on my computer. I'll try reinstalling ActiveSync some other time though.

I know what you mean warren, my new IPAQ 3870 keeps erasing its memory while its on standby. there is no way for it to do this on its own and I sent it to compaq and said nothing was wrong, I got it back and same problem, so now they are going to replace the inards of the machine. can any of you guys think of something that can cause my memory to delete itself. by the way, my battery is allways over 40 percent when this happens.

does your device have a backup battery? (watch battery)

if its doing that and the backup is good, then you know its not working right... well deleting itself is weird too :)
