well Mr Anonymous.. they have development kits to MAKE your own Pocket PC.. in fact, my good friend is actually making one himself.. i'll get you the link as soon as i can.

Anyway.. i don't want to start a flame war because Linux users don't know when to shut they holes.. BUT... LINUX = Communism. at least WinCE is helping the world Economy.

I would have to say that as long as we stay away from Palm OS we might survive...

How about the interface excuse?

I love Linux, but some people want a more advertised OS. Besides, if you get a big Flash ROM, you can have both OSes!

I believe a better analogy might be Linux=Socialism. I am a conservative myself, but Linux provides an example of Socialism at its best with people working on it for fun and they enjoy their work. It is not a good way to run a national economy, but it works pretty good for developing innovative and inexpensive software.

The only reason Socialism doesn't work is because humans are greedy and lazy, sinful and pitiful creatures. And Capitalism uses that greed to motivate innovation and spur economic growth and punishes laziness with zero yields.

I haven't tried Linux on my iPAQ, yet. I haven't really had a chance to do it. But wouldn't it be easier to start out with the Pocket PC OS since it's built-in?

Dual boot between Palm OS 5, PocketPC, and Linux :P The former 2 are actually more feasible than it seems, as Palms only have 2MB ROM or so. Hardware issues aside, it would be cool to boot both Palm and PPC. </wishful thinking>

Just one "real" suggestion. LEFT HANDED FRIENDLY!
holy internets batman.

good idea sponge. as i dont want the ipaq layout though, i would draw a rightie and a leftie version into consideration. the left handed one would be mirrored and stuff.

I just can't fathom why you compared Linux to communism and thought that was a negative about it. You can change Linux at your very whim. PocketPC doesn't even provide a proper themes setup, let alone the ability to modify the functionality of the device.

You must feel really stupid calling your "good friend" and idiot because he likes linux. Especially since that good friend is making a distro PocketPC OS. LOL. That must have been embarassing, no matter what you try to say.

And why have you become so hostile all the sudden Courtney. You don't post in months and you come back thinking you're some big man (named Courtney) and that everyone else is wrong and will argue any point no matter how trivial.
