Ok. I ran Vobenchmark on an SD,MMC and CF card. I found the SD card won in all of the read tests. The CF card won in all of the write tests.

I would say, from the tests I ran, that SD is better overall for PocketPC. Where your primary concern is read spead. Loading apps faster, reading data files etc... CF seems more suited for cameras where you want faster write speeds. I also wonder how much my device affected the results. I wanted to post my test results. Is there a way to display a table in a post, other than linking to a picture. I typed everything up in Excel.

SD is worse than CF. If it's not, then find a SD camera, modem or LAN adapter ;]

zinger, copy tour table to FrontPage, select View -> HTML, then copy everything from <table> to </table> [including these tags] and paste it into the reply.

SD is better for reading, but cameras and things like that need better write speed, so they use CF more often. There are cameras that take MMC and Sony's proprietary memory, what's it called? And Sony's memory isn't exactly fast.

Also, they make Wifi SD cards and bluetooth cards, SD cameras... it's just the cards are so small that it's hard to get any kind of plug-in in them or anything such as that. They need to come up with an SD Type II that is wider so that the Wifi and bluetooth cards don't stick up and out of the device.
