First of all, I doubt Half-life "blows away" jDoom. jDoom looks a bit more plasticky and modern (and, I think, with slightly more polygons) but then Half-Life doesn't have the limitations of the Doom engine. In addition, HL is MUCH more detailed than Doom will ever be.
However, the fact is you can't play Quake in Half-Life, while you can play Doom in jDoom.
And yes, it's obvious that my argument makes no sense. Why do you ask?
