My 3970 can last for a few Cowboy Bebop episodes (3 or 4) with about 60% battery power left in both the iPAQ and the PC Card Expansion Pack battery. As far as I know, I don't think any of them can provide enough juice with the backlight on to fuel a 90 minute movie.
I've never tried it without the extra expansion pack battery on, so I don't know.

Y're right i've no battery pack and i can only watch 1 episode of XFiles (about 45 min).
I'll try to underclock my palm. Maybe better results.

I'm using a 256 MB SD card. My Palm is strangely eating power. I'll try to change backlight.
