WMV file size

I have had excellent success using the Windows Media Encoder to convert AVI's for my iPAQ. Quality is pretty good.
My question is whether there is a good method to split large movie files into two pieces. I find that I cannot fit most long movies onto a 128MB CF card. They tend to run around 130-140MB. Is there software available to split these so I can put them on two different CF cards.
TANSTAAFL!

I dunno if there is a splitter for WMV files but there are plenty of splitters for saving segmented AVI's. You could split up your AVI's and then encode each of those into a WMV file.

Off the top of my head, VirtualDub can save segmented AVI's.
GM:

Because WMV is proprietary, I highly doubt there is a way to chop one in half. However, if your source is an AVI file, then as JJB has stated, VirtualDub can segment your AVI for you, and then you can simply run that portion through WMEncoder.

You can get .

It's a freeware, is plugin compliant, can output DivX formats, and is simple to use :) I highly recommend making it one of your defacto multimedia applications.

999
Great!
Thanks for the help. Actually, splitting the AVI file prior to encoding with WME is fine and will suit my purposes. I appreciate the pointer to VirtualDub.
I'm having a blast with my new iPAQ.
TANSTAAFL!
