Window Media Player 7.1

I encoded a clip from the Matrix using Windows Media Encoder.  It played terrible on media player 7.1 but good on pocket tv.  Is media plaer just crap or what?  Should I just uninstall it and use the original for mp3s and pocket tv for mpegs?  Ideas?

That's what I do. IMO MS codecs aren't that great for playback on lower speed devices (206mhz) for example... I don't like their codec at all, but some people do... and their pocket pc player sucks.. Pocket TV is much better..<br>
