Games on PPC

I was just thinking earlier today about games on PPC when I was reading the thread about HL/CS being ported to PPC.
Really, playing a 3D-shooter on a PPC is not very practical, and there are a lot of other games out that could be or have potential for being ported.
I would think strategy and top-down rpgs would be more prudent and enjoyable on a ppc than 3D shooters.
Starcraft comes to mind. I still play the game and it is 5 years old. It doesn't need much of a processor or video card to run, and it can fit on a 32 meg Nintendo 64 cartrige WITH the Broodwar expansion pack. Only problem I can think of is copyrights, Blizzard prolly isn't going to release the source for a long time, if ever.

Thats true the top 10 or even the top 10% of the old
systems will beat the pants of 99.9% of any new games
out. But i am saving the snes for better sound and speed, its still not quite there yet even with the 2215.
Okay, so seeing as there are maybe 500 or so Super Nintendo games in existence (I recently downloaded a pack of 250 SNES ROMs, so much more than that) and probably a similar number of NES games, let's say, very roughly, something like 1000 games for those systems alone.
Native fully featured PPC games? Everquest...
Yeah, that's about. And it's basically a low-budget arcade game. Comparing the quality of games between the markets seems...irrelevant.
As for games across all systems, if you think Zelda or Dragon Warrior can hold a torch to modern games like The Longest Journey or Grim Fandango, you're living on a different planet from me.

Wowza. I have to assume most of those are lost in utter obscurity, but wowza.
Heck, I was a subscriber to and dedicated reader of Nintendo Power for most of its existence in the NES era and I've never even heard of a third of the ROMs in my 250 ROM download pack. I feel so out of the loop :p
