how many fps in a nicely encoded movie is average right now, and what do they think youll get with .8?

I can play a 240x176 movie high quality with no frames dropped on the ipaq in a development version of .7... <br><br>if you are encoding for full screen playback, rotate the video in virtual dub to 240x320 instead of 320x240.. it's much faster than the realtime rotating in pocket divx. That's one thing that needs to be fixed.

.8 will probably have some nice performance increases as i mentioned earlier... maybe full screen with no frames dropped?.... it's hard to tell.. 1.0 will be the milestone release probably. At least it's nice to see development is moving quickly.

Ya i would like to know that too. Also about how big will a music video turn out smaller than wmv?

I'll work on encoding some trailers for you guys... after I'm done I'll let you know the settings I used, etc..
