Wow, you get corporate memos? You could really help me out on the stock market, Tottenkahmen.

Please, I am so sick of everyone spouting how they KNOW that there will be 3D accelerators in PocketPCs by March 24th, 2004 at 11:39 AM Eastern Time. This is so ridiculous. ATI makes great 3D Cards, they've been in the PDA market for 2 years now, with atleast 3 different video chips produced for mobile devices. Why haven't they added 3D functions to the Imageon? Maybe it's because they feel like being meany-weenies and don't want to give us all this great new technology they've discovered from the alien space ship that crashed into their conference room which contained a graphics chip capable of producing 90 tragillion frames per second but only draws 1 microwatt of power.

PLEASE, get real. Y'all need to be WAY more grounded. AMD produces ARM based microprocessors, why don't we have 3DNow! routines in our PocketPCs by now? The MIPS CPU was 64bit, it's better than the Pentium4 4GHz XP XBA MMX 3DNow! Quadra-Cycled CPU, r0x0rs!
PLEASE PLEASE just stop. You're being ridiculous. I'm glad you're excited about your PocketPC, but put some lead in your shoes.

And tottenkahmen, irony is when the opposite of what you expect happens, sarcasm is when you mean the opposite of what you say. Educate yourself, it relieves your own embarassment.

3D cards in PPCs have been "soon" for many years now.

Jamie Sonnendahman:
My nick is ToTTenTranz, not tottenkahmen. If we're talking about education, let me give you some for free: ToTTenTranz is derived from Totentanz.
Totentanz is a music piece for piano and orchestra from the Romantic period composed by Liszt. Totentanz can be translated to "A Dança Macabra". In english I guess it would be correct to call it "The Whicked Dance" or "Evil Dance" or someting like that. *Ironically* enough, despite this title and the kind of music he composed, Liszt was a christian monk (fact that, for several times, saved his life from the Inquisition.. I hope you all now what the Inquisition was..).

And once again, I meant IRONIC. It's none other than IRONIC that, after many ppl here stating that there wouldn't be 3d games for PDAs in at least another 5 years (and I do recall the "5 years" in a sentence), bitboys come up with 3 new chips oriented for 3d gaming in PDAs and nVidia (the 3d graphics chips vendor with most market share) buys MediaQ.
It's none other than IRONIC that in a PocketPc fansite the ppl with most posts are by far the most irrealistically foccused in pessimism, as if they were willing that in 10 years we would still be using the exact same hardware in PPCs.
I just don't get that..one thing is to be realistic, and the other is to be exagerately pessimistic. And that's what you are.

Oh and btw.. the alien space ship you mentioned? It didn't crash in the conference room. It crashed right in the middle of their R&D facilities.
And the date for 3d accelerators in PocketPCs will in fact be March 24th, 2004 but at 5:43 PM, because the presentator will be suffering from diarrea and the presentation will be delayed a few hours.
(This is sarcasm.)

P.S: ATi made 2 (not 3) video chips for mobile devices until now: imageon 100 and imageon 3200.
