resizing videos?

Guys, any suggestions on resizing divx rips.  Ie from 640x480 to <br><br>IE: If I download a preview :P in divx 640x480 format and want to watch it on my Ipaq and to reduce the file size, what program do I use, or what's the easiest way?  is it even possible?

ok.. VirtualDub (http://virtualdub.sourceforge.net/)<br><br>then you need to open the file... do a direct stream on the audio. and add a video filter for resize. then set the divx compression settings, and encode.

i just use a calculator to keep the ratio:<br><br>(new width / source width) * source height = new height..<br><br>check off expand frame and letterbox image.. and set the frame width to whatever your new width is, and set the new height to:<br><br>take the target height.. and ROUND IT UP to the nearest multiple of 16... and put that as your frame height.<br><br>the frame height has to be a multiple of 16... as does the frame width.
