Where the hell is Activesync? (on the PPC?)

I'm trying to start Activesync from the PPC (and iPaq 3870), to do network syncing/debugging

It isn't in the start menu or programs folder. Although everyone tells me it should be....

It launches automatically when I connect via USB, and stays open until I have to reset the device (very often when developing). Once it's running, I can connect via the network.

But I can't find any way of launching activesync on the device without either connecting via the USB cradle, or using 'Start Activesync' in the bluetooth manager - which only works if there's a bluetooth connection available...

Surely Activesync is just an .exe hidden somewhere on the device? But I can't find it.... Where is it?/How do I launch it?
