Need help

Ive just bought a 256mb SD card of a friend, its the first card I have got and I got it for cheap.

The thing is that can you tell me the way to save files directly to the card through the PPC. My PPC does not have the memory to save some files, and it would be a lot better to save directly to the card.

Can this only be done by the use of a card reader.

Thanks

no, all you have to do is with activesync, use the explore feature and just double click on my pocket pc and from there you should see sd card, I'm using a cf card so it says cf card. and you can download all your games and applications to the card. When it ask you if you want to install to the default directory, select no, and scroll until you see sd card.

Try upgrading to activesync 3.7 at Check in the top right for the download link. If that doesn't work, it may be with the pocket pc itself, well not that its messed up but a file didn't load in right. to check to see if it is the pocket pc, back up all your data and save it to the built in storage, or if you can, transfer it to the sd card. Then perform a hard reset and reconnect with activesync as a guest and check explore to see if it works, if not, I dunno.

Ive downloaded and installed the new activeSync, but the problem still remains.

One question when I perform a hard resit will I lose programs that were originally on the PPC like Word, Excel and Media Player.

Yes many tweaking programs will mess up your connection between your computer. I used a file, Giga Bar and some other tweak file that kept me from connection to the computer. I was so freaked out and I called dell 4 times and my mom was getting really mad at me, I did a hard reset it was all fine. Is zone alarm a pc or ppc program?

Zone Alarm is PC program, its a firewall program. It has settings not letting programs send information. It was stopping the PPC comunicating with the PC.
