Playing video encoded with DivX 5.1.... not possible yet?

Hi all. I'm new to the PDA world, but recently bought a HP 2210. Great little machine. I've been using DrDivx 1.2 with DivX 5.05 to quickly convert my episodes of "The Wire" to managable sizes for viewing on my IPAQ. However, I recently upgraded to DivX 5.1 and now my encoded files will not play on my MVP Player. I presume it's because the software doesn't know how to read the Divx 5.1 codec, right?

Anyone have any success playing Divx 5.1 encoded files? I like the new codec and would like to stay with it, rather than convert back to the older version.

Oh, I've also found that my audio sometimes falls out of sync after I've re-encoded a movie for the PDA. Any suggestions for how to safely re-encode a movie and not mess up the audio?

Your help is appreciated!

What setting are you using with Dr.Divx to play your videos in your ppc? I try so manny different settings and they don't play so good in my ppc.

I use VirtulDub and Divx 5.1 and it looks great.

The only reason I'm asking this it's because it would be nice just to record the show in dr.dvx and transfer the file to my pda.

Thanks
