ugh, how does Compaq install the OS, maybe I can *try* doing something. I need to save my fifth limb(no, not that one :wink: )!

www.ipaqrepair.com does all kinds of iPaq stuff... i believe they even restore ROM to make your iPaq a little more useful than a silver paperweight. I use my Palm for a paperweight, if I remember correctly. (Looks at outbox.)

I use all the PII's or AMD K-6's I have accumulated over the years to host private Win98 LAN parties on StarCraft and Unreal. I do have a couple Mac's that I use for keeping the door open when the House Fan is on, though. :wink:

Do those things have a hard reset, that might help?

If you get it working and want to sell it cheap, after you move to the A620, email me?
