hey everybody

whooa, looks like I have been away from the PPC scene for way too much time.. things have changed as I can see with the merge HP/Compaq, the Asus new stuff and so on. I´m feeling kinda lost.. Anyway, the problem is I´m playing around with the idea of getting a new device pretty soon. And since PM is the best "antro" for gadget aficionados, I ask: which new gen ppc would be my best bet?
(that new ipaq with biometrics looks nhammy...)

you have not said what your looking for in a pocket pc.

You can do VGA now on the Toshiba E805 using a hack from a Brighthand forum member. Pretty much everything works in VGA using the entire 480x640 screen from native apps to third party stuff. It is very cool and takes the PPC experience to a whole new level. Especially web surfing.

But as far as games are concerned most will not work except for Warfare Inc. Surprisingly Morphgear works well.

with any techno stuff theres always somthing good around the corner, you could spend your life waiting for the next big thing to come around.

I´m looking for something with CF, a nice xscale for games and veeeery good battery.. (My ipaq has to be recahrged every 45 min.. disgusting). And regarding network, integrated wlan or bluetooth are always good, but not necessary... Also, I dont really care about ppc2k4 os.. If it runs anything higher than wince 2.1 it´s fine..

oh yeah, can I use my old h36XX cf jacket on those new ipaq models? they look a little thinner than mine..

I like one, but it´s so freakin expansive.. blah
