Imagine this...
480x640 resolution (exists today)
32MB 3D mobile video (crossing fingers)
128MB RAM (exists today)
3GB Hard Drive (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3717353/)
600MHz XScale (close with current overclocking)
Built-in WiFi/BT (exists today)
1800 mAh battery (exists today)
Microsoft OS w/ DirectX (announced)

Wouldn't that be cool?

Future generations of PDAs/Cell phones could get real hard drives.
Someone will hopefully produce that 3D video card we all want.
Microsoft says they'll get some DirectX components in the next OS.
All of the other technology already exists.

The big question is... How much will it cost? My guess would be about $800-$900.

32MB video card? Not for a while. Considering how long it took the PC market to get there, and past (most people are still on 32MB cards- the Geforce2 IIRC) you'll be waiting a LONG time on that one.

Besides, for 640x480 resolution, is there really a need for so much VRAM? With my Monster3D 1, (one of the first 3DFX-compatible cards) it had MUCH less than that, and ran 640x480 fine.

Bender: Yes, but not when you're restricted to 640x480.
