You can also use this freeware app No Plugins Today. You can map it to a hardware button and clear/restore your today screen plugins whenever you want to look at the screen.

I use it and it works fine on my 1910.

A little rudeness and disrespect can elevate a meaningless interaction to a battle of wills and add drama to an otherwise dull day.
