An Axim x3 300MHz model should be suffienent... i think it has CF and its under 300 for the unit.

EDIT

It's $200 from Dell.com with a 1 year warranty. Also, my X5 Adv (400MHz)is very reliable and plays SNES fairly well. It's also pretty cheap on e-bay, and it has CF.

Axim X3? Axim X5 basic? Viewsonic V36?

X3 doesn't have CF, only the X5 has CF, and 300 mhz is only enough for SNES w/o sound. GBA will be pretty slow most of the time.

Get on eBay!! I just got an A620 for $245 with overnight shipping ($225 without overnight shipping). You've just got to be patient, though. I think it took me a week or two to wait for some auctions to end. The one I almost won had the CF wifi adapter (ended up selling for $217 + shipping), which you could probably sell for $40 and then put that towards the CF memory or keep for the wifi.

Anyways, I've checked EVERY electronics website, and although you wouldn't have to go through the hassle of bidding, they couldn't match eBay. Of course for the most part on eBay are the "Buy it Now" auctions...for more than those websites, but if you're patient one will come along that you can win for under $250 ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... gory=38331 - Has a Buy it Now price of $230 ). I've seen h2215's, h4155's (only one though), MANY h1945's, V36's, a620's, and a few more all go for under $250. It really depends on what you want.

From his feedback it looks like everyone else got theirs from him as well.

Justin has a good point. I mean, it IS taking a chance buying ANYTHING off of eBay. I can honestly say that I'd rather get things off of another website. However, I knew my price range and I knew what I wanted. The two could only fit together on eBay. If I'd had the extra money I would've definitely gone the warranty route, as a warranty on anything is good

So, you do have to consider all aspects of anything...especially when it comes to spending money wisely. If you bought a brand new PPC for less than $250, I would not expect that PPC to run the PS1 emulator or GBA without skipping. However, you wouldn't have to worry about a dead LCD or battery replacement, etc.

Good call Justin

Good luck shopping Jello!!

I dont know if you get get this model in the states, but i have an acer n10. It very cheap and very good performance. It has sd and cd.

Its about 270 euro's here (The Netherlands) (so it would be about 250 dollars.)

It playes snes on full speed in morphgear (i didt find any lag with about 80 games)

Gba is possible but not very fast but playeble.
