Yup, I've had lots of emails like that. Apparently it can find out an email address that has sent something to you earlier and replicate that address.

Others have contacted me too, complaining that I sent them a virus, when in fact.. I sure as hell didn't; it just grabbed my name from their address book or email logs and made it look like I did.

Sponge.. you get about 20 a day? Damn.. thats pretty good. Yesterday, I believe was my spam record, about 660 spam emails in one day :) (of course, they all went straight to my trash can becuase of a spam filter.. but impressive nonetheless. :P

I have over the 150+ odd some limit for blocked email address filled up in hotmail because of spam.....i still get spam but not anywhere close to where it was. Awhile back one of my friends sent me spam and it was one of those chain email letters that went blah, blah, blah and if you don't send this message to 15 people you will die like that person did who didn't send it to 15 people..........while I am not the superspecious type...I went ahead and sent it 15 times..and I don't know 15 people but hey that's not a problem cuz there was way over 15 people who kept forwarding that message >) so i sent it back to all of them lol

Hm, not sure actually, let me take a look at my spam folder...

Averaging about 20 spams a day total. When one of those worms came out, it was literally 20 an hour.

If your firewall is properly configgered, you really shouldn't have that problem. NetBIOS ports are blocked from the WAN both ways, all the time, from everyone. That should stop everything dead in it's tracks. (I don't remember the specifics about Blaster, ATM)
