Did anyone ever get the answer to this problem? In the end, did the unit have to be sent in and replaced? I also am looking for a solution to the same exact problem. I'm hoping for a solution that can be preformed on the user end, just so I will know what to do in future cases. It sucks to have to send my Asus A620 in for repair or replacement. Though it sucks even more that my PDA broke so soon. (I barely had it for 3 months.)

Yes, I did send a message to Asus for technical assistance. It's just hard to sit, wait, and do nothing while a $300 piece of broken equipment is laying in front of me.

blanc screen as well

have had it occur a few times on mine - either let the battery run down a bit and re-try, or take it apart and unplug the battery for a few seconds.

Its a pain, but it does come back to life eventually :)
