AngbandCE is an old version as well (v2.9.something IIRC) and I was never able to save a game after the first time I saved (on my h1930). I'd start a game, and save ok the first time. Next time I loaded and then saved, it would truncate the save file to 0 length. Without fail.
The web site of the guy that compiled the CE version has been down for ages as well, so it's an unsupported product.
If I can just run the current DOS version, I will always be able to play the latest version, and in full 640x480 res (in landscape text mode).
