The screen of my new Asus is backlighted with different brightness on different parts. On the bottom, brightness is lower. Is it supposed to be so or should I contact the service? The difference is not so severe, but visible in different angles.

This sounds like it couild be normal to me. I know how when I get a new product I am always paranoid about every little aspect of it, this could just be "new product paranoia". Maybe you could take a picture of it, and post it?

I bought one also that had this 'problem'....I ended up returning it.....
