My question is; Where did you get Mame on PPC? The place to download it never lets me download it.

Also, it doesn't say on the website which romset to use.

Kinda annoying.

The hint is in "looking to buy a PPC". I don't have Mame yet. I would use MameCE3 from http://www.mameworld.net/mamece3/

Na, emulating neo-geo games would kill a PPC, no matter how beefy.

I agree that some sort of compability list on MameCE would be groovy. But since I can't download it anyways (don't know why, but I've tried tons) I've pretty well given up on the endevor.

Still, I disagree. If you can play decently Gran Turismo, Tekken 3 or Final Fantasy VII, which are much more hardware intensive than any NeoGeo games, I really think it could be done.

Yea, other than the huge amount of space/RAM NeoGeo games take there shouldn't be much of a problem emulating them albeit at slow speeds... but I was talking more about the lack of CPS-1 emulation. That is what truly disappointed me.
