I just got done posting about this on Slashdot.
First of all, it isn't a real virus, but a "proof of concept" that asks permission to run.
Creating a PPC virus is a trivial matter. Anyone that can create Windows virii could easily create a Windows CE virus with eVC++.
As I said on Slashdot, I would be much more concerned about a standard Windows worm or virus that would delete on files on my PPC when I ActiveSyncs, since ActiveSync has no security at all.
There are other things I would be even more concerned about, but I don't want to give anyone any ideas.

i still don't see why anyone would make a ppc virus, there's not really any point. Market saturation of ppc's is rather low, and connectivity... while increasing is still really low too.

Eh. I'm really not too concerned. I do full backups with the included utility on my iPAQ at least twice a month, so if a virus were to destroy all the data on my PPC, I'd just bring back a backup file that's stored on my laptop and main machine.
