PocketMatrix

i am looking into buying a new PPC primarily for playing pocket quake, and watching DivX movies. i have narrowed it down to either the Dell Axim X3, or the ASUS A600 (A620 is much better i know, but i can't afford it). so since pocket quake relies almost entirely on the D-pad/Function buttons i would like to know if anyone who owns either of these units has anything to say about them (the buttons on the units). are they laggy? is the d-pas on the Dell Axim X3 too small? are they pleasent to use in general?
