Sry for reviving this old tread, but what I've got to say concern this particular problem so instead of creating a new one....
So: I own an A716 since a year now. From time to time, the integrated WIFI ME program has refused to connect to networks without any visible reason, and without giving any error message. This problem was happening randomely, and strangely enough, things would come back to normal by themselves just as randomely.
Lately, my A716 has systematicaly refused to connect to wifi networks, even my home's one.
Since I suspected the instal of the latest ppc Skype beta version to have screw up something, I've hard reset my ppc (several times) but my device would still refuse to connect to wifi.
I've waited, got mad, tried several setings etc, but nothing worked...
...until: I've instaled Hitchhiker (version 0.3 as 0.31 has bugs preventing the use of wep), managed to connect my wifi network with it (finaly.)
Now the strange thing is that WIFI ME works again since that instal. I've even tried to uninstal Hitchhiker, and it still works...(o_O)?
SO might I ask wtf? I mean, I had hard reset my ppc: are there files (or absence of files) that remain after such an operation?
Whatever, hope this can help other A716 users.
