I will confess, I have been using my heavy, leather cased, all metal Tosh755 unit, simply because I was so afraid to take my asus out of it's factory case. It felt naked and oh sooo precious to even hold!
Then came this silicone case. It was too cheap ($20US) to pass up, so I bought it here:
WOW, what a great difference this case is!
It "frees" the PDA from the heavy leather "coat", or metal case "jail", that we are all used to..
The case is always great to touch(not sticky), being, warm, smooth, grippy, very secure.
I don’t have to worry about leaving it, even on an angled table, because of the grip of the case.
SUPER LIGHT! OMG I can’t believe how light my Asus is compared to my Toshiba, which this case seems to magnify. It adds almost NOTHING to the weight of the PDA! I start thinking I left it somewhere, because I don't feel any weight!
I've had a few beautiful leather cases, and a metal one But this case combines their strengths:
1--It does not hide the units beauty! Shows off the beauty better than a leather case.
2--You can see right thru it.
3--Softer, warmer to touch than leather.
4--Comes closest to giving the perception of secureness & ruggedness which a metal case gives when CLOSED. This case gives it all the time, because there is nothing to open! Just a clear flip cover you can keep closed and still operate!
5--You don’t even have to flip open it's tiny flip screen cover. You can see all info on the screen with clear cover on, and you can push any button RIGHT THROUGH THE CASE!.
6--It loooks soooo cooool.
7--The case is sooo exact to the PDAs body, that you would think it looked like the PDA SHED IT's SKIN!
8--Every nook, cranny & hole is shaped into the case, which also has exact molded buttons over actuall ones, to make pressing thru case.
9--has a hole for included optional clip-on, & corner hole for a strap.
10--opening for the camera, and "plugged in" flap cover for protecting the bottom sync hole.
There you have my comments on this case...
Only one negative:
The case tends to grip some loose lint off my pants pockets, so sometimes I have to brush it off with my hands... It doesn't stick too much though.
Side note:
Using the Asus (as well as the Axim30), I have noticed that it ends up being a good idea for PDAs to have the speaker in the back, because almost all cases today cover up the front speaker when closed, but when in back, they all have holes to let sound out, so calendar appointment sounds are much more clear and loud!
