No, only video operations are accelerated, not all 2D. As far as the device is concerned, 2D and 3D are the same to it.

Ok, I've tried the ROM 1.0621

Anyone knows if there is little video improvements in later release? And what is the latest toshiba ROM?

Here is 1.0623 that list "Update display driver" in improved features...

Can anyone that owned an E740 tell me if is that worth?
Or I'm wasting time flashing that ROM?
Yeah I don't expect 3d games to run smooth, but at least at a decent level (currently it is NOT, sometimes worse than my old Jornada 568!!)

Mayby best improvement for you, is to overclock your PDA to 472Mhz.
