Mugen Power now has a 1800mah battery for the Loox 720 that is the same size as its standard battery.

Still nothing better yet for the Asus A730w.

The extended battery is well designed. Maybe in the near future someone (ASUS?) will create a higher capacity battery with a smaller footprint.

The extended battery has BARELY acceptable battery life. Again, if ASUS had provided facility to charge the battery OUTSIDE of the unit, this would not be such a problem.

Regardless, I am quite happy with the A730W.

Here are the pics of my A730W in my MEXX case. The last two pics include pics of my A716 for comparison. They BOTH have the ASUS Extended batteries.

The MEXX case is more than a simple PDA case. I also had the premium case/wallet from ASUS for the A716. It functioned as my wallet & PDA case. The MEXX case does the same.

Nice pictures.... but you carry around that thing and are complaining about size? or just the battery itself?
