Has someone seen a bright White Screen

Hi,

Have you seen a bright white blank screen on PPC. my PPC started showing this and neither soft reset/ hard reset works. Even if you take out the battery and then the moment you plug it in, it just shows this bright white screen and the backlight never switches off. The battery wears off after some time and if you put it on charger, it the same story.

I am sure a circuit has fried inside and I can throw it in the river, but if you know of the problem/solution, then pls help.

Did you try to do a ROM update before this happened? Sounds to me like you fragged the ROM image and you need to send it to be flashed by the manufacturer. I had a similar screne on my Audiovox 6601 when I...erm...someone else disconnected it during a ROM upgrade.

Nope I wasnt doing a ROM upgrade, it first started giving a buzzing noise and then the noise went away and was left with a white screen.

Dead. Call the company and see if you can get a replacement at least.
