HELLO TO EVERYBODY. This is my first post on this forum.
1. I decided that I will buy a PDA: asus myPAL A716. all the review i read about it are excelent. I found only one not so good. (http://palmtops.about.com/gi/dynamic/of ... 6%5FReview)
It says that the wirelles distance to APN is small.

Wi-Fi A growing number of handhelds are offering Wi-Fi, a medium-range wireless networking standard. This doesn't work like a mobile phone; you have to be fairly close to an access point

Does anyone know something about it??

2. I really need my PDA to have a Phone function too.
so far the a716 is the best I could get below 500 dolars. but I would pay more for a730W but I tnih it`s not a phone. did`nt find that specified in any review, even if it has the signal icon up right near the watch. is it a phone or not?

WiFi is just like wireless ethernet. It is not any type of cellular service. I guess you could do VOIP with it, but there is nothing about it that is anything to do with cellular. The a716 is not a SmartPhone.

However, as far as WiFi goes, I think the a716's range is extremely good. It is as good as the WiFi integrated into my last two laptops.

Neither the a716 nor a730 are phones.
