Hey guys. what's up?
:p
It's been a few years since i suddenly left from the pocketPC scene. nice to see some of the old guys still here
Anyway, i know this is a pocketPC forum, but i was thinking about porting Argentum to Palm. I saw a treo 650 that has a 300 mhz processor and lots of memory so maybe it's possible.
I've made a Topic in the Argentum forum in case anyone wants to give an opinion on the subject. I really dont know if it's really possible to port it, maybe someone has any info i could use?

Isn't Ionside dead or something? Who owns the rights to the game?

It's certainly more than possible. Also, a VGA port of Argentum would be a sight to behold.
Unfortunately, I'd think you'd run into legal problems. I haven't seen Fredrik in forever (though he did get his blog up @ malmer.nu finally it seems, so I suppose he's not that disappeared) and after talking to John, he tells me Monkeystone is all but gone. Ionside.com has also expired. Real shame. My campaign was awesome too :P
I'd suggest making a small game for PPC/Palm yourself anew, personally. Argentum was great, but IMO, it's been outclassed by Warfare Inc which has cross-platform multiplayer.

Fredrik quit ionside a long time ago. He started studying and i was gone too for that reason.
But now i'm pretty much a software engineer so i have some time left to do stuff like this.
I checked out that game you mentioned sponge, it doesn't look very hot, but i guess gameplay must be fun.
Dont forget Argentum is a VERY old game, i started coding it on my first year of college and now i'm in the last one. I'm pretty sure a game like argentum for Palm will be quite a sucess, the graphics are hot and i think the gameplay is hot too.
I'm gonna do it. You should see Argentum for Palm in the months to come.

Hey - welcome back!
Dunno who owns the rights to Argentum now but a freeware release would be out of this world.
