Free Tacos

This doesn't really have to do with Pocket PCs, but none of the other forums are any better for this.

In the next couple days the Mir space station will be pushed towards the earth, where it will be torn apart and almost completely disintegrate in the atmosphere. However, many large pieces will still land harmlessly in the (hopefully) empty Pacific. To this end Taco Bell has placed a 40 x 40 foot banner within the 6000 square mile target zone in the Pacific Ocean where the Mir pieces will land. If the
core piece of Mir hits that banner, then Taco Bell will give every single U.S. citizen a free taco.

Now, the reason I am posting this follows;
Since it is almost a sure thing that the 40'x40' target will be struck by the specific component of Mir, I would like dibs on the free Taco Coupons from all of you US citizens out there who do not like tacos. Please acquire and send me your coupon on Friday. Thank you.
If you are not a US Citizen, then this is yet another very strong reason why you should immigrate to our country and apply for citizenship.

Dan East

Uh.... huh. 6000 square miles, 1600 square mile target. And that 6000 square mile target isn't exact. They can't drop something perfectly, I'd bet it would be bigger than that. And the core component has to hit? And then I get a free taco? In the mail I get a coupon? Or what?

I have a friend in Australia who is more than sure to get video of the hunkajunk burning up. His dad is an Astronomer. Hopefully, if he takes it with his Sony Handicam he can mail me the Memory Stick and I can post it on here.

According to the news article, Taco Bell actually took out "taco" insurance just in case the target is actually struck. I guess it will pay for the materials required to make a few hundred million tacos.

Dan East

Slightly Bad News,
The Trajectory of the De-Orbiting is going to be changed a few hundred miles. Apparently there is a fishing fleet smack dab where this hunkajunk was supposed to splash down.
WE CAN LIVE WITHOUT TUNA FOR A YEAR, C'MON!!!;)
